Richard Carter
Richard Carter is the founder and a managing partner of The Open Door Trading Company (ODTC). Richard manages the day-to-day operations as CEO of the ODTC in the United States. He formed The Open Door Trading Company together with Moises Ulloa and Partners to provide a safe and responsible way for investors to share in the success of private development projects in Honduras.
Richard earned a Bachelor of Science in international business
from California State University-Fullerton. Since then he's gained
nearly 20 years of experience in business development with a major
Fortune 50 company and has earned more than 30 prestigious awards
in recognition of his accomplishments in the financial services
industry. He is fluent in English, Spanish and German and has lived
in Honduras.
Michael Farber
Michael Farber is a managing partner and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for The Open Door Trading Company in North America. He is a graduate of the University of West Georgia, and has extensive experience in business development representing one of the world’s largest expense management companies where he earned a trail of prestigious awards. Michael is well respected by many mid- to large-sized firms where he has had a positive impact on their operational and financial goals by identifying existing spend and forecasting opportunities that exist in their financial systems. Michael is also a market trend expert and has helped numerous companies lead the way in their industries by quickly adapting their sales focus and strategies to take advantage of new market trends well ahead of the competition.
Jose Castaneda
Jose Castaneda is a partner of the Open Door Trading Company and President of FEHMISSE, an apolitical and non-profit organization. FEHMISSE has more than 118,000 micro-, small- and medium-enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs representing 512 industries. Jose manages the daily operations that help make the ODTC's investments a success.
Jose specializes in the private sector and has become an expert in the area of business development by teaching people how to form, run and operate a successful business. An experienced manager with more than 30 years of managing organizations through all phases of development, Jose is very often seen on T.V. in Honduras and is well recognized as an expert in the field of MSME. He also leads the Central American and Caribbean Chamber of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. His management experience includes multiple disciplines and key positions as Chairman Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), V.P. Finance, and Managing Partner.
Moises Ulloa
Moises Ulloa is President of Inversiones Ingeniosas or I2 and a
co-founder of ODTC. I2 searches for profitable investment
opportunities and projects that contribute to the success of
FEHMISSE and The ODTC. Moises lives in Honduras and is
responsible for ensuring that the ODTC's projects meet both
financial and developmental expectations.
A native Honduran, Moises Ulloa came to the United States in
April of 1983 to serve in the US military as a member of the Naval
Air Fleet. After completing his duty he attended LSU and received
his BA in political science. Moi returned to Honduras in 1991 and
co-founded the private security company SAS Group, which grew to be
the largest Honduran run security company in the country. He sold
the company in 2005. Since then he has led numerous investment
projects in housing development, micro enterprise investments and
job training.
Moises also co-founded Grupo Suma, Ingenious Investments, and Agroeconomics, where he serves as Executive Director.
Michael Baker
Michael Baker is a partner with The Open Door Trading Company. He serves as CFO and Compliance Officer for The ODTC in the United States and throughout North America.
Michael served with the US Army in Europe and is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts - Lowell. He has more than 20 years of experience in IT consulting and has worked on international projects throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Michael’s skills are in global demand and he is very respected in the world of IT communications. He has also served as a regional representative volunteer for an international youth organization committed to global understanding and is thrilled to participate in sustainable business development with the The Open Door Trading Company.
